First United Methodist Church, Moody

First United Methodist Church is located in the heart of Moody, Texas.  The congregation has a rich history dating back to the 1800’s.  Over the years, this congregation has made a commitment to actively engaging in the mission and ministry of Jesus Christ. 

First United Methodist Church is involved with several mission projects, including hosting the food pantry for Moody’s Blessing Club.  Additionally, many in the church gather each week to work on projects such as quilts for individuals in crises, providing care packages for the local nursing home, hosting a banquet for graduating high school seniors, and much more. 

The congregation of First United Methodist Church is committed to growing in their faith.  Weekly Communion is celebrated on Tuesday mornings and a prayer group joins together to pray for the needs of the congregation and the community.  An adult Bible study group meets each Sunday, as well.  Youth ages 5^th-12^th grade meet on Sunday evenings for games, lessons, and fun activities.  There is something for everyone in this church family!

First United Methodist Church welcomes individuals of all ages.  Childcare is provided for young children ages birth – preschool during worship and Sunday School.  However, children are always welcome to worship in the sanctuary, as well!  Our worship is traditionally styled, yet has a comfortable and inviting feel.  Our choir leads the music each week and individuals are always invited to join this great group!  Worship is a vital part of this congregation.
